This applies to personal data we collect about visitors to our website, business contacts, online event participants and newsletter recipients. Tucana Telecom BV, located at Minervum 7446K, 4817 ZG  Breda, The Netherlands, is responsible for the processing of data as described in this privacy statement.

Scope and applicable law

Tucana operates across the EMEA region. This Privacy Statement is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For individuals in the United Kingdom, we also apply the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and for individuals in Switzerland, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Individuals located in other jurisdictions within our EMEA markets may be subject to additional local data protection laws, which may grant further or different rights; where local law requires additional or different protections, we will apply those in addition to this Privacy Statement.

When you visit our website, we collect personal data about you. Our web sites are www.tucana.com and support.tucana.com. This may include, but is not limited to, the following situations.

Processing your information

We collect your contact details if you order something, request information or subscribe to Tucana’s newsletter. The information we collect may include, your name, e-mail address, phone number, title, company address and payment details. The purpose for collecting this information is to process your order or request and to administer our relationship with you. The legal basis for this processing is either your consent, fulfilling our obligations towards you or Tucana’s legitimate interest to administer its business. We retain this information for as long as necessary to fulfil your order or request and to administer our relationship with you, and thereafter for as long as required to comply with applicable statutory retention obligations (such as tax and accounting rules).

Web analytics

Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our website. This information helps us understand website usage, improve user experience and optimize our services. The information collected may include IP address information, which is processed in accordance with Google Analytics privacy controls and our consent settings, browser type, device information, pages visited, referral source, session information and interactions with our website. The legal basis for this processing is your consent. The retention periods for the underlying cookies are set out in our Cookie Policy.

Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Marketing Measurement

Subject to your consent, Tucana uses Google Ads Conversion Tracking to measure the effectiveness of our online advertising campaigns. When a visitor reaches our website through a Google advertisement, Google may place cookies or similar technologies on the visitor’s device. These technologies allow us to determine whether a visitor performs certain actions on our website, such as submitting a contact form, requesting information, subscribing to a newsletter or completing another business-related conversion event. The information collected may include conversion events, browser information, device information, campaign identifiers and interaction data. Tucana does not use Google Ads Conversion Tracking data to directly identify individual visitors. The legal basis for this processing is your consent.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy website tags, analytics tools and marketing technologies. Google Tag Manager does not itself collect personal data or place marketing cookies. It facilitates the activation of other technologies on our website, including Google Analytics and Google Ads Conversion Tracking, based on the consent preferences selected by visitors through our cookie consent platform. The legal basis for any processing performed through technologies managed by Google Tag Manager is determined by the relevant service and, where required, your consent.

Embedded Content Services

Subject to your consent where required, our website may include embedded content and services provided by third parties, such as YouTube and Google Maps. When you interact with such content, these providers may collect information about your usage and may place cookies or similar technologies on your device. Please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant providers for further information about how they process personal data.

Event participants

If you register for one of our events we will process your name, contact information, information about your travel itinerary and dietary preferences for the purposes of organizing and managing the event, providing you with the information and services associated with the event as well as keeping a list of participants. We retain this information for the duration of the event and for a reasonable period afterwards for administrative and reporting purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.

Online event participants

If you register for one of our online events, such as a webinar, we will process your name, contact information and standard weblogs for the purposes of organizing and managing the event as well as securing our digital event platform. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data are our legitimate interests to manage, administer and document our events as well as maintaining the security of our event platform. We retain this information for the duration of the event and for a reasonable period afterwards for administrative and reporting purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.

Newsletter recipients

You can subscribe to our newsletter via this link. The legal basis for sending newsletters is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter or by contacting us directly. The categories in your profile determine which newsletters you will receive.

Third parties

Tucana may only transfer or share the personal data provided by you with suppliers, subcontractors or other third parties that may be relevant in the context of your request. All reasonable legal, technical, and organisational measures have been taken to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and with an adequate level of protection when transferred to these third parties. Your personal data will only be transferred or shared with third parties when necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Statement and will be limited to the minimum. When you ask us for a quotation or when we process your order we need to share personal data with our suppliers and or logistics partners to be able to process your request or order. For example to comply with export regulations of the supplier’s country, we exchange email address and company address information. For logistics we share delivery address contact person’s name and phone number. Tucana will not sell your personal data to third parties without your consent.
For website analytics, advertising and conversion measurement purposes, Tucana may share data with Google Ireland Limited and its affiliated companies, including Google LLC. This may involve the transfer of certain information outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including reliance on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified, and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Consent Management

Our website uses a consent management solution that allows visitors to manage their preferences regarding analytics and marketing technologies. Analytics and marketing cookies are only activated after the visitor has provided consent through the cookie banner. Visitors can withdraw or modify their consent preferences at any time via the cookie settings available on the website. Tucana uses Google Consent Mode v2, where applicable, to ensure that Google’s measurement and advertising services respect the consent choices made by website visitors.

Your rights and how to exercise them

You have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you.
You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate personal data, request the deletion of your personal data, restrict the processing of your personal data, object to the processing of your personal data and, where applicable, request the transfer of your personal data to another organization. Where processing is based on your consent, such as for analytics or marketing cookies, you may withdraw that consent at any time via our cookie banner; withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have an unconditional right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, including any profiling related to such marketing, such as Google Ads remarketing and audience creation. When you do not agree with our Privacy Officer you have the right to file a complaint with the local supervisory authority in the Netherlands (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the data protection authority in your own country of residence or work within the EEA. Visitors in the United Kingdom may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and visitors in Switzerland may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
